Every Tweet Reveals a Heap

Once there was a boy and he loved to tweet.

Once there was a boy named Digory.
He and his friends—Chuck, Sue, Tyrell and Nora—loved to tweet.

Digory had a favorite phrase he would often say:

“Every tweet reveals a heap.”

One day, Tyrell went on a trip to the beach. He built sand castles and swam in the ocean. His father even took him on a jet-ski ride for the very first time! Tyrell had so much fun.

On the way home he tweeted, “Sand castles and jet-skis! What an exciting time at the beach!”

But Digory replied to Tyrell,
“You’re bragging because you got to do something special! Every tweet reveals a heap!”

When winter came, Chuck made a snowman in the yard. It was the biggest and best snowman Chuck had ever made. But the neighborhood bully came and smashed the snowman’s head and broke the twigs that formed its arms.

That made Chuck very sad. He tweeted,
“Brad is a bully. He bashed in my snowman.”

But Digory replied to Chuck,
“You just want everyone to feel sorry for you! Every tweet reveals a heap!”

Sue and Nora were playing with dolls. They dressed their dolls in fancy gowns. Their dolls danced with imaginary princes! Sue and Nora had a wonderful time.

Nora tweeted, “I love playing dolls with Sue!”
Sue tweeted, “Nora is my best friend!”

But Digory replied to Nora,
“You hope Sue will play with you and not with anybody else.”

And then he replied to Sue,
“All you want is for Nora to say you’re her best friend too.”

“Every tweet,” he declared, “…reveals a heap!”

After that, the children stopped hanging around Digory.
And whenever he tweeted, “Would anyone like to come over and play?”

They knew he was lonely
and longed for company because

every tweet
reveals a heap.
