Portfolio Site Work

Today — I worked on my portfolio site. I didn’t even go outside today!

It’s at a good spot for now. The contact form is working fabulously in php. I did have to figure out how to serve something locally in php. who knew? it was just…

$ php -S localhost:8000

After that, problem solving was a lot faster. I added a couple media queries so things don’t look broken on small screens. Front end isn’t easy, but it’s rewarding.

I want to tweak the nav bar some for mobile and get the smooth scrolling effect when a link is clicked. I’m thinking of adding parallax or similar too. It just needs a simple but interesting effect.

Other things: set up my old printer to print a label send back a shattered pumpkin candle to Amazon; fixed my phone which was increasingly unresponsive to screen touch.
