You can’t have purpose without a mission. Most team and company focus too much on selling their widget or hitting the numbers. Instead they should be focusing on who they are helping and how they are putting their own dent in the universe. Every project, every problem and every opportunity should be seen through the eyes of the customer or prospect you are helping. Not only does this focus give you purpose but it forces you to make choices that don’t screw the customer for the sake of hitting a goal.
