Great wrap up, Samit! Amazing job with the gifs. I have some food for thought.

  1. “Arya has a strangely emotionless interaction with her long lost friend Hot Pie.” Is it just me, or was she channeling the Hound? She ate like him, drank like him, and had quippy, honest lines like him. And was slightly emotionless like him.
  2. Did you notice Nymeria’s pack was identical to her direwolf brothers and sisters? There was a white one like Ghost, a black one like Shaggydog, a brownish one like Summer, etc.
  3. “Robb & Grey Wind — Failing to keep his word, and attempting to straddle the conflicting mandates of leading his army at war and following his heart, Robb was stuck floating in a gray area and died accordingly.” I always thought the “wind” half of Grey Wind’s name called back to one of GRRM’s favorite lines, “words are wind,” which also relates to Robb’s broken promise to Walder Frey.
  4. I love your theme of identity. There was an undercurrent of children acting like their parents too. As you mentioned, Jon gives Baelish the same treatment his father did (whatever his actual relation, Ned Stark will always be Jon Snow’s father); Brienne is definitely thinking of Cat when Jon puts the North in Sansa’s hands; Arya acting like the Hound (another father figure); and this might not fit exactly, but Cersei is acting more and more like the Mad King (I’m starting to believe the fan theory that Tyrion is Tywin’s only legitimate son).

JON AND DANY MEET ON SUNDAY?!!!!! I cannot contain myself.
