Gays Against Guns DC Joins Arms With Women’s March from NRA Headquarters to U.S. Department of Justice

Fairfax, Va. — Members of Gays Against Guns DC (GAG DC) rallied along side Women's March today at the main offices of the National Rifle Association (NRA) before marching the 18 miles on to Washington, D.C. and the U.S. Department of Justice.

GAG DC shouted for justice and gun violence reform by the NRA, which has incited public outrage over its recent video advertisement that encourages mistreatment of women and minorities.

“The inert response from the NRA after the Philando Castile verdict and then its horrible video exploded into our massive, vehement protest of outrage,” said Tori Wenig, a GAG DC member. “We join the Women’s March today in protest of harmful rhetoric and gun violence perpetrated by the NRA. We demand that Congress act to disarm the hatred and stop innocent bloodshed.”

GAG DC was also joined in the march by GAG NY and the Brady Campaign among other gun violence prevention advocates. GAG will be speaking at the Saturday vigil at the U.S. Department of Justice.
