Thank you for sharing this with me. You are fantastically brave. To be plain, you wanted to feel authentic and to allow your authentic self, pain, depression, or otherwise — the whole focus of you at that moment — to be seen, plainly, outwardly.

It isn’t cowardice or fear or anything of that to write what you did. It’s a compulsion. A compulsion to be treated like human, for people to understand your depths and your intricacies.

Let’s put it in plain words: depression makes people who don’t suffer from it very, very, uncomfortable most of the time.

But they need to be the brave ones, and face it. We face it every day.

It’s the least they can do, read your words, or listen to you.
