And She Never Looked Back

Lying still for too long,

Dreaming of the cool air,

The scorching sun,

The howling wind,

The drizzle,

And how free they all are,

She laid sad,

Silent, stationary,

One day,

Finally when she did,

Talk to the wind,

Feel the air,

Jumped, strolled,

Walked, ran, rushed,

Marched to her destiny

Hiking up the pinnacle,

Striding fearlessly,

With aching limbs

And a light chest,

She never looked back.
