Day 2 | First Item Decided

December 2nd, 2017

Basically, I decide to put items that are relevant to the present into my Time Capsule. They should be the prove of my digital life, in a form that I can keep in a physical location. And more importantly, they should be about me — my internet traces. More specifically, I want to discover my internet habits through packing my time capsule.

One can easily leave his/her footprint on internet. The internet browser automatically stored temporary data that is created (?) by individual who has used it before. It would stored the websites that one has browsed; the period of time that one has stayed in one single page; the information that one has given; etc.

Much information can be easily found in your browser — in the “history” for example. Some footprints might be harder to track, but I can still find a way to get them, for example to track my order history in Amazon one year ago, it may take a little more time.

I would start with an easier one — my browse history. I chose an news article that I read yesterday to be the first item. It was an article about the newly passed tax bill. The headline is “Senate GOP tax bill passes in major victory for Trump, Republicans.”

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
