What Social Media “Experts” Are Doing Wrong

I’ll counter by saying that those who share USEFUL and RELEVANT content on Twitter are doing things exactly right.

The reason “experts” have so many followers on Twitter is that sometimes they post information that’s good enough, that the rest can be overlooked.

Not even the best social media expert has the time to respond to everyone on Twitter.

So, if the purpose of Twitter, at a very high level, isn’t actually to engage in meaningful discussion, then the second logical option is… to share content we find interesting. I typically post content I personally read and found to be good or insightful.

Occasionally, I might engage in a short conversation, but ultimately I seek out those who have the means or tools to sift through 99% of the redundant content out there and pick out that which actually means something.
