AI Operating System: E-commerce aspect
Online shops, you are the first to let go.

I’m starting the series of posts on AI OS with rough sketches and then going to iron out details along the way.
What the problem you are trying to solve?
It’s a damn wrong question! People smarter than me already solved the problem starting with DOS (Disk operating system) till now.
I’m looking for the ways to fix the issues with current OS and the zoo of redundant stuff.
Why fix? Time has come.
Take online shops for example.
Fundamentally if we disregard the label aka brand, online shop is just the feed like you see in Google ads.
If we treat online store like a feed, it can be stored in a DB (database) and repurposed for almost any user query. Google Ads is an example.
On top of that emerging tech and Gen AI researches eventually give the ground to rise of new early AI OS at least when it comes to UX.
1. Main screen is your feed and prompt
Prompt input is universal: url, ask a question, change settings, send a message. But more about this in the next posts.
2. Your browser is your prompt field.
No need another browser. No need to download, configure.
OS does it for you.
You care about the SEARCH. The rest will take care the system
Let’s say you search what you care about in plain English.
3. This online store is tailored specifically for you
No need to open 5–6 tabs. system preselects top 3 choices that match your query. It remembers your previous viewed items based on prompting history and structures it.
If you want to see more, it’s never been easier.
Just type “show me X” or scroll left-right.
Assistant helps in the context.
You don’t have to read through zoo of websites how to choose a gravel bike.
If you choose long distance, it will optimize output for specifications better suit long distance travel.
4. Send the link to a friend even w/o copy-paste and opening a Messenger
Most likely you’ll not only check for reviews (many fake ones) but to discuss with a friend.
Look at the prompt above. Hit send and here you are.
Message sent. Right here. You are focused again on prompting.
5. Chatting without opening a messenger.
The only indication is top right corner that you have notification.
Built-in browser has option to open a new tab and additional ones like you see in conventional browsers.
Choosing the vendor
When a user has chosen the right model, the step on the same page is to choose a vendor.
Payment
Payment is easier when credit card is already tied to OS user account.
People may ask
— Will e-commerce will die as we know?
Time will show. It’s giong to change. But stay tuned and prepared for many surprising turns.
— What will happen to conventional online stores?
Most likely, people will check the occasionally or to check for some specific details.
— Will it impact workforce?
Most likely.
