Why we need to cut back on the “Cool question”

Great design perspective. Coolness is way easier than putting yourself in someone’s shoes and solving their problem.
Key example of why product management overlaps with UX/design, engineering and business. As well as helps steer the team toward a problem statement for the user, shipping at the “right” time, with appropriate business impact. E.q. Increased revenue, increased user growth.
An extreme technique, if possible, brainstorm with the user, then take feedback back to team. Or interview users with the team and then brainstorm. Again reflecting on the user. Use pictures of the user, and revisit context over and over again.
