Your Problem Will Never Go Away Until You Deal With It

Your article was succinct. It was an easy read with easy answers to very complex issues. I am not saying I don’t agree with your article, I could have easily read it numerous other places. One thing with which I had a problem, was how you breezed by many mental health issues. I do not know your credentials, nor do I wish to dig into them at this time. Mental health is a huge problem in a persons life and it can be a huge game changer. Depression in case you are unaware is a clinical disorder. It is a chemical imbalance in a persons brain, that may take years of recovery. It may require hospitalization, medication, therapy, and many other interventions to help a person just be able to function in their day to day lives. Most people don’t want to hear about it or “deal” with it. Many people with mental health issues loose friends and family member support quite quickly. On the flip side if the same person came to there friend or family member and told them they were just diagnosed with cancer or diabetes they would more than likely be circled around with tremendous support. Please be very careful when you flippantly throw in mental health with “I’m terrible in relationships”. The two are not similar in any way. Also please be careful of your “expertise”, if you are an expert in all of the fields you bullet pointed, I apologize. With the following you have, simply telling someone to change a problem is great and true, guidance may be helpful as well, however. If someone came to you with severe depression what would you tell them? If someone came to you with a serious gambling problem what would you say?
