Great article. I am a little skeptical of the startup worldview that says everything can and should be measured; I think it’s a consequence of having a too-high proportion of engineers in the innovation sector. Sometimes the X-factor of your product can’t be reduced to a number. But in this article I see a way to blend the solve-a-real-problem approach with just enough quantitative analysis to keep everyone on track. I feel livened up, and I am going to ask my team members to read this so we can have an overdue talk about Quality and Impact measurements.
