I surely approve the fact that Vim is wonderful, and will definitely learn it soon enough. :D
Meanwhile, nowadays laptops with at least 8GB of RAM and some fast passed NVME SSD (this is what I call “modern” decent laptop btw) are far from those numbers in term of bootup and so on.

Sure it drains a LOT of RAM but eh, 300k when you do have 8/16GB is not a big deal IMO. And we still use Slack…

Totally agree on the SSH + Vim part tho, Nano is good but a bit too basic for some maintenance.
