A few weeks ago, I tried writing about some shit that happened over twenty years ago. I was trying to be thorough; I researched, and asked questions…and wound up a shaking angry mess on my couch for two days straight.

The way these creatures conquer and steal is stealthy and masterful because what they take continues to haunt us long after they’ve left.
