I’m reading Dawn (from the Xenogenesis Trilogy by Octavia Butler), and this post just ties so exactly to the last scene I finished re groupthink and whether or not our aggression and fears will ever be a part of us that does not lead to violence and inflammation. In every fictional world I’ve created, the people in it have been without malice and insecurity. I think it’s because aggression has always been terrifying to me and I struggle to imagine a world of aspirational creatures who cater at all to it (aggression). I’m babbling. But: yeah. The groupthink inevitability in this post hit home for me. I’m glad you’re staying, though!
