Cheesy Maggie
Maggie, a brand synonymous with instant noodles, has become a staple in households worldwide. Its versatility and convenience have made it a favorite among people of all ages. The Maggi brand was founded in 1884 by Julius Maggi in Switzerland. From its humble beginnings in Switzerland to its global fame, Maggi has continuously evolved to cater to diverse palates. Maggi noodles quickly gained popularity and became a favorite among individuals of all ages.
As love for Maggi grew, people began experimenting with unique combinations to enhance the flavour profile of their beloved noodles. Among the many variations, one standout variant has captivated the taste buds of countless fans: Cheesy Maggi. This delightful fusion of noodles and cheese creates a symphony of flavours that is hard to resist. The addition of cheese to Maggi noodles brought about a remarkable transformation in both taste and texture. Cheese, known for its creamy and savory qualities, complemented the noodles, creating a delightful amalgamation. Ingredients needed for Cheesy Maggi:
To make delicious and cheesy Maggi, you will need a handful of ingredients that come together to create a mouthwatering dish. Here’s the list of ingredients you’ll need:
Maggi: Start with classic Maggi noodles, but make sure to exclude the seasoning (tastemaker) packet that comes with it. We’ll be adding our own flavorful ingredients to enhance the taste.
Oil: You can use vegetable oil or olive oil for this recipe based on your preference.
Butter: Butter is a crucial ingredient for this recipe. Butter adds richness and delightful flavour to the Maggi. It brings a creamy and indulgent touch to the dish.
Garlic: Garlic is a wonderful addition as it adds a zingy and aromatic flavour to the Maggi. Chop or mince the garlic cloves before using them.
Chicken: Adding protein to this dish makes it a filling and nutritious dish. Addition of chicken imparts flavour and Savory taste to the dish. Alternately, you can use prawn or egg or tofu or paneer (cottage cheese) to your preference.
Milk: Milk is essential for creating a creamy and velvety texture in the Maggi. It adds richness and enhance the overall taste of the dish.
Flour: Flour is the key ingredient in making the white cheesy sauce. It acts as a thickening agent and gives the sauce a smooth consistency.
Cheese: For the ultimate cheesy experience, use a combination of processed cheese and mozzarella cheese is used. The melted cheese gives the Maggi a gooey and irresistible texture.
Salt: Salt is necessary for seasoning and enhancing the flavour of the dish. Adjust the quantity as per your taste preference.
Black Pepper: Black Pepper adds a hint of spiciness and burst of flavour to the Maggi. It complements the cheesy taste and gives the dish an extra kick.
Cayenne Pepper: If you prefer some heat in your Maggi, cayenne pepper is a perfect choice. It adds spicy touch to the dish, but you can adjust the spiciness according to your liking.
Ingredients:
- 2 packet Maggi
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp garlic (chopped)
- 100 gm minced chicken
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp Cayenne pepper powder
- ½ cup processed cheese
- 2 tbsp Mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp cilantro (chopped)
Process:
- In a pan heat water, then add Maggi and let it cook for 3–4 minutes or until they are properly cooked.
- Once the Maggi is cooked tun off the heat and set the cooked Maggi aside.
- In another pan heat oil and then add chopped garlic and fry for about 3–4 minutes until it becomes fragrant and slightly golden.
- Next add chicken mince to the pan along with some salt and black pepper powder. Cook the chicken mince until the its fully cooked.
- Once the chicken is cooked, push it to one corner of the pan and add butter to the empty space.
- Allow the butter to melt and add flour to it. Cook until the raw taste of flour is disappeared, stirring continuously.
- Now, slowly whisk in warm milk, ensuring there is no lump in the mixture.
- Then add salt, cayenne pepper and processed cheese to the pan and continue whisking until sauce thickens slightly.
- Next add boiled Maggi noodles to the pan and stir everything together.
- Finally, add Mozzarella cheese and mix well until it is melted and thoroughly combined with the noodles and sauce.
- Once the Maggi is fully cooked and flavours are well-incorporated, finish it off with a sprinkle of chopped cilantro for added freshness and aroma. Turn off the heat and your delicious Maggi dish is ready to be served.

- This recipe tastes good only when made fresh. Do not make it beforehand.
