When I’ve worked for 12 months straight with just weekends off I get burnt out. I get distracted more easily and don’t put in my best work.
Taking a week off once a quarter is a great way to overcome this.
You’ll come back from the week excited to get back to work.
Schedule it and do it regularly so that you’re always motivated and fresh.
