Though I agree with the idea in principle and it suits my political disposition, I think this is a slippery slope. The tech industry is capable of creating a Wall Street equivalent on the West coast and if people like yourself who have the means to sway opinions with money, start doing so, they won’t be any different than the very institutions that the Supreme Court gave Carte Blanche a few years back. We all know the power of money and it only takes a few people with a lion share of it, to change opinions and mindshare in a major way. Unicorns are prime examples. Let alone the dangers of private capital an armed forces joining hands — not directly in this case, but like I said, it’s a slippery slope.
