I have no idea what the hell I’m doing here. Do you?

Do you, like me, get sucked into these cyber wormholes? You log in to your g-mail account then, suddenly, you’re whipping out your credit card (oh wait, google chrome has that saved) to subscribe to a new training that is going to generate passive income, which will allow you to travel and lead the life you’ve always dreamed of (oh wait, that’s how I’m writing my first article here).

So, what do I do now?

Squirrel.

Shiny object.

Finish the damn article.

Get something out there for the world to see.

Pick a topic.

Do you know how challenging that is? “Pick a topic” it can be any topic! Choose something that you’re passionate about, something that you would want to read, they say; pull something out of the ol’ sorting hat “Griffyndor”, “Slytherin”, “Ravenclaw!”

I digress.

Pick a topic.

What am I passionate about? This Writers Work program suggest I write a captivating bio, something profound that would speak to any potential employers or bloggers. Give the people a piece of your mind and show them what your writing style is like.

Can you sum yourself up in a 100 character bio?

Go ahead!

Try it.

Hi, my name is Katie, I suffer from the inability to be satisfied with what I’m doing in my life. No matter what I choose, I want to be doing something else.

I live in a magical land where I don’t have to exchange time for money, there exist beautiful gay women who enjoy adventure and conversation, A CRAP TON of cats with no litter-boxes, tiny houses, and beautiful hikes with waterfalls.

In this land, if I am to exchange my finite time for money, the payout is immense with residual income that pours into my bank account month after month, week after week. I’m able to live off my riches, instruct other’s to “copy and paste” my exact formula that has “generated me 6-figures per year” and gallivant around the world with my betrothed and our kitten Abbey (should I start her an Instagram too…light bulb, business idea!).

Squirrel.

And so I begin my topic. I have started many-a-online businesses, I’ve had a variety of domain names accompanied by email addresses. I have tried to mimic other fitness enthusiast by creating a “12-week online fitness program” that will “ultimately transform your life.”

I’ve started blogs.

I have written articles for Beachbody and almost bought into Beachbody Coaching.

My next business en devour I thought I would be smarter and learn from my earlier mistakes. Thus, I hired a company to guide me in creating another online business. This time: drop-shipping.

Never, have I ever, been so embarrassed to beg my friends to please buy something, anything from my new online active wear store; only to learn that when it arrived on their doorstep, the clothing material was cheap and the packaging was in Chinese.

Fail.

Next, my friend sold me LipSense. I’m sure you’ve heard all the rage. This is the “long-lasting lip color that is smudge-proof, kiss-proof, and water-proof.” Well, guess what else; your ticket to living a life in abundance with quality make-up and skincare.

All of a sudden, my social media went from fitness enthusiast to make-up lover overnight.

What the hell is this girl doing?

Sprinkled in the mix of these so called “businesses” is affiliate marketing, with a side of Builderall and Clickfunnels; and to top it off, Writer’s Work.

In a recent automated e-mail I received from some kind of opt-in that promised to have all the answers I am looking for to feel fulfilled, with a life of financial freedom; is an invitation to a webinar (automated) which will teach me the 5 steps to start a successful online business when you have a current 9–5.

Should I attend?

“Pick one thing,” says my therapist.

Choose something you’re interested in and go from there.

Well here is my topic, individuals who crave to be their own boss, make their own money, live financially free, travel from place to place never getting to know anyone (except my betrothed of course), practicing yoga, cats, and sleeping.

I think they call this “millenials”.

This is what I’m passionate about. Here is a perfect example of the last 15 min in the life of a serial, not-so-successful, creative entrepreneur.
