We can make a Rocket ship that can carry rich people to space but we can’t solve Haiti. We progress because we can think like a team. Our goals are satisfaciton of ourselves. Its a wierd disconnect. Capitalism is great. But it has appalling flaws. You can kill a person with a steak knife or feed her some beef. Capitalism is a tool, the means, it is not the goal. But we like to think it will suggest or indicate our goal. Its not evil until it becomes the meaning and purpose. We need to understand how we are going to govern ourselves.
