Saint Pudens was a prominent figure in early Christianity, known for his unwavering faith and devotion to the Lord.

Not much is known about his life, he is considered to be a martyr, and is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church.

According to tradition, Pudens was a Roman nobleman who lived in the 1st century AD. He was a devout Christian, and was known for his generosity and kindness to those in need. He was a close friend of St. Peter, who is considered to be the first bishop of Rome and the founder of the Roman Catholic Church.

Pudens was also a personal acquaintance of St. Paul, who wrote several letters to the early Christian communities in Rome.

He has been identified as possibly being the Pudens mentioned in St. Paul’s Second Letter to Timothy.
He is said to have had two sons, Novatus and Timotheus, and two daughters, Praxedes and Pudentiana, all saints, although the basis of this lineage is now known to be without historical foundation.[1]

He occupied high position as a member of the Roman Senate. The saint received the foremost Apostles Peter and Paul in his home, where believing Christians gathered. His house was converted into a church, receiving the name “Pastorum”. According to Tradition, the…
