If you like the idea of looking great, feeling great, and living a long, healthy life, then get your bitch ass in the sauna ladies and gentlemen. There are people who are much smarter than you and I. Some of those smart people have done actual scientific research with human beings about the impact of regular and prolonged sauna use. Specifically, sitting in a 170+ degree F dry sauna for 20+ minutes at a time on a regular (4–7 times per week) basis. This does NOT mean hopping in the sauna for 5 minutes and then walking out before you even break a sweat. The idea is to walk into that 170+ degree F oven and sit there until you physically can’t take it anymore. The first ten minutes feel great. The last ten are not fun. Your heart will start to beat faster, sweat will flow out of your every pore, and breathing will become increasingly difficult. But like anything else, the more you do it, the more you will adapt and the longer you will last. The longer you last in the sauna, the greater the benefits…kind of like fucking. The longer you last in bed, the more likely you are to give your girl one, if not several vaginal orgasms. And that is a great time for everyone involved.

The physical benefits of regular, prolonged sauna sessions include, but are not limited to: increased natural production of human growth hormone, 40% decrease in all-cause mortality (cancer, heart disease, etc..), increased longevity, preventing cellular damage, preventing muscle atrophy, enhanced neurogenesis (it makes your brain work better), heavy metal detoxification, and a wonderful all-natural endorphin release that hangs around for a quite a while post-sauna. If interested in taking a deeper dive to all the known implications of regular sauna use, check out this incredible report written by Dr. Rhonda Patrick. Dr. Rhonda Patrick also details some of the sauna benefits on an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience in this clip. And, check out this link to her website where she goes into great detail about the many impacts of regular sauna use. For those of you who are not familiar with Dr. Rhonda Patrick, she is a brilliant woman who’s life work focuses on all things health, nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being. If you are reading this blog post, I strongly recommend visiting the links above and keeping tabs on her latest research. She has been a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience multiple times (her last three appearances below) and offers some brilliant insight on a wide array of health topics.

Also check out this article about additional sauna benefits written by Tim Ferriss, renowned biohacker and author of “The Four Hour Workweek”. Tim is a bottomless pit for life hacks, bio hacks, zen hacks, and overall well-being that I reference regularly.

SO, find a gym with a nearby sauna, join that gym, and use that sauna as often as you are able to. You will be healthier, happier, and prettier because of it. OR, if you have some money and land, then go ahead and buy your own sauna (every man’s sauna fantasy). Personally I will be building my own outdoor sauna when I have the land to do so.

  • Please note that I am not paid to promote Dr. Rhonda Patrick, Joe Rogan, Tim Ferriss or their work. Over the past few years I’ve recognized the tremendous value these three provide to their audience and as such I regularly reference their research and content. I’m just a normal dude that exercises, eats healthy, and likes to have great sex.

If you enjoyed this story please clap, clap clap, clap ya hands.
