Yes, a partial burn is a compromise I had on my mind as well. Has somebody explored such a hybrid model before? I like the idea of burning paper fiat money. However, besides the unfortunate necessity of having a trusted third party — isn’t that illegal? The problem with paper money is that government can print as much of it as necessary so they can consider the burnt money planning the supply or even print more to buy ICOs themselves (as they kind of do with stocks in the process of quantitative easing).
