Well Said Mary-Ann

A well thought out piece. Yes, this is all an invitation for dialogue, discussion and learning about ourselves. When we have a chance to enter a dialogue in a civil manner with another who feels strongly, we have the opportunity to learn more about ourselves, our limiting thoughts and expressions. By entering these discussions, we are able to enhance our emotional intelligence, by actively listening, using our empathy and compassion for others. We can set our intent around trying to understand the others position rather than push our own. We can stretch our tolerance by remaining calm instead of allowing ourselves to become hyjacked. We can then in turn be that person that we are hoping we meet and with whom we would like to work.
