Beware!

Death isn’t the first thing people think about when consuming fast foods. Fast food is considered a cheap alternative to everyday healthy food. A vast majority of the world would rather pay for inexpensive food that is not as harmful to their wallet, but detrimental to their bodies. The fast food market is the primary cause of this issue. According to the PR Newspaper Association, “the fast food market is expected to increase due to the fast urbanization and lifestyle of many countries.” This situation puts millions of lives at risk of suffering from the various problems concerning the consumption of fast foods. The following chart shows detailed information about fast foods and their contents.

These facts seem radical, but they’re true.

Obesity

The carelessness of one’s actions regarding their diet can lead them to suffer from obesity. According to an article from the University of Arizona, “Obesity is linked to other illnesses from chronic to acute, some very severe and deadly, such as Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Coronary Artery Disease, Coronary Vascular Disease, Heart attack, stroke, and even cancer. 4 of the top 10 leading causes of death are all related to obesity and are direct causes of obesity”.

Many individuals who suffer from obesity consume copious amounts of fast foods on top of their regular meals. A documentary was produced to show the effects of fast food if consumed for 30 days. A man named Morgan Spurlock risked his life in the name of science and research to determine the effects of a diet composed entirely of fast foods. The following clip is from Youtube and is a shortened version of the documentary “Supersize Me.”

This clip shows Morgan during his 30-day fast food diet

In the documentary is seen that Morgan felt utterly different after undertaking such a challenge. His health was deteriorating day by day, and in the end, he gained 24 and a half pounds! That is an undoubted accomplishment if you seek a rapid death. The fast-food industry will stop at nothing to take the money from its consumers; Even if it means spending millions on lucrative advertisements.

How Advertisers Fool You Out of Your Money

We see that in many cases, fast food advertisements are the reason why people try certain fast foods. They tease food items with new condiments or different ways of preparing the same type of food to deceive your brain into trying this new item. Also, they use inclusion to lure you into trying by appealing to your sense of being left out. The urge to try new things is also a big factor that drives the consumption of these foods. One good rule is to avoid all instances where fast food appealingly presents itself. It eliminates the influence of advertisers on your diet and promotes a healthier lifestyle.

Reduce and Improve

Do your body a favor and reduce the number of times you consume fast foods. Following a diet plan will maintain you in good health, and when paired with exercise, will keep your body fit. Staying in shape is not all that hard if you plan your meals accordingly. For example, eating a healthy breakfast before a morning run will provide energy that you can use to improve your performance throughout the day. According to greatrun.org, porridge is an excellent source of early morning energy, but it should be consumed as soon as possible to allow digestion to take place. Compare that to eating a processed breakfast burrito. Avoiding the consumption of fast foods whenever is possible will greatly benefit your health, therefore it is crucial to track one’s diet frequently.
