Quoof and other family nonsense
Tess Wheeler

I knew it, a fellow copy editor. Happy Mothers Day and I must say my mom and I shared a delight of mixing syllables for fun: UN-indate instead of IN-undate. Revelence instead of relevance. But it never caught on. Mom passed on and now I just get corrected. But we had our humor together. My wife has had a good ear for my daughter’s coinage of words when she was growing up, like “klooky” for kooky and clownish.
