Thanks for the post! What you describe is an an fortunate affect of some early 2000s laws and regulations around schooling. Hopefully you get a teacher that changes that for you. In high school I was lucky enough to have a couple of teachers that really made a difference in the way they taught.

Also if you decide to go to college, make sure you look closely at the type of teaching you’ll be getting. I’m lucky enough to have discussion based classed with about 20 kids per class. This will change the way you learn drastically. It’s much more engaging and you can talk out what you’ve learned and learn from your peers.

Don’t ever stop wanting to learn!
