About You
You love building new things. Most of what you’ll do each day is create awesomeness. You’ll be building Morph.ai’s chatbot engine and platform. This is a core position, so you’ll be working across the entire codebase of Morph.ai. We use modern tools, which means you’ll have the opportunity to work with technologies like MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Redis, Jenkins, Docker, Lambda and many more. You’ll ship your code daily that will be used by millions of people.
You have worked with teams before on large Java projects. You should be familiar with enterprise level Java which involves familiarity with Design Patterns, Spring, Jersey etc. You understand how to design systems in a distributed manner across hundreds of servers — we handle millions of messages every week and are growing fast.
You love servers. You should love spending time on the black screen (terminals). You understand and are fascinated by basic cloud concepts like SSH, firewall, security, network, GC. Familiarity with Linux is a must. Experience with AWS/Gcloud is a bonus.
You love doing things efficiently. At Morph.ai, we believe in “Build bots, don’t be one”. Humans should spend time doing smart work and automate the rest with bots. We build scalable systems and processes that let us impact large businesses. There is no escaping from a well-written code which can be understood by anyone and can be easily distributed.

You love to set your own course. You will have a team meeting and a one-on-one meeting every week where you can help direct the course of your projects. You’ll have a direct impact on what we work on next. You are a team player.

Things You’ll Do
Morph.ai is a startup, so you’ll likely get experience on many different projects across the organization. That said, here are some things you’ll probably do:
- Help scale a fast-growing and unique system — our bot engine handles millions of requests each day.
- Work closely with product teams designing features that can scale with the company — directly impacting how our customers can be more productive.
- Gain expertise in platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Facebook Ads, Adwords, Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads etc.
- Work on our proprietary NLP engine.
- Design fault tolerant, high availability systems that can elegantly deal with disruptions in service.
- Help customers via support to ensure they have the best experience possible.
- Test and ensure that everything is working as desired and the customers love what they see.
