These are only statistics,without much context. For example we don’t know how much experience the average closure developer has vs a Java developer.

In principle I agree that static typing is probably not helping that much with reducing the number of bugs. I rather believe static typing helps with dividing up larger projects such that smaller teams can work more independently. The question would be how well do do projects in dynamic languaged scale.

For example, does it take longer to fix a bug as the project grows?
