The Chatbot Conference recently launched the world’s first Conference Bot. The chatbot allows users to keep up with all of the event details, speakers, topics in one place. The bot also leverages the power of the conversational medium in a new and interesting way. The Bot is designed to help introduce users to the right people. Like any conference the goal is to network and the chatbot automates the process in a fun and interesting way by addressing each person’s needs. Recently, a game component was added to the entire experience, ‘The Game of Bots’.

Personalizing the conference experience

The bot has a number of high level features which lead to personalized content while leveraging communication. Users can read the story of each of the speakers and learn about their background, career, education and gain insights. Additionally, users can suggest questions for the speakers and the panels. This allows the community to become part of the content creation process. It also insures that the most pressing questions be addressed by the speakers.

One of the most interesting features is personalized content. From the very beginning, the bot segments the audience in a number of different groups. These groups represent the type of people who generally go to conference. Based on the user’s input and interests the bot will begin making introduction for them. For example, if you are looking for a job in the Chatbot space, the bot will introduce you to startups that are hiring. Additionally, from time to time, it will share the latest job postings in the space. The bot automates the networking process so you know who you should talk to at the conference!

The Game of Bots

To take this experience to the next level an augmented reality bot game was created. The Game of Bots was designed by a team of Hollywood script writers from Botcopy and Chatbots Life. The game is a play on the ‘Game of Thrones’ TV show and the objective is to conquer all of the kingdoms and sit atop the ‘Bot Throne’. The game starts before the conference where users discover what house they belong in and the real battle begins on conference day.

The Game of Bots let’s attendees experience the speakers in a whole new way. On their screen they can learn about the speaker and interact with what is being said in real time. By engaging, the attendees will unlock hidden levels and unique experiences while earning rewards. For the speakers, they can focus this attention on a single focal point, a takeaway that they want attendees to walk away with. The goal of the game is to connect the speaker with the audience in such a way so that the audience can play with the content in real time and retain more information. Lastly, this also allows for easy follow up and sharing of the best ideas.

By the numbers

So far the Conference Bot has been very successful. Since launch it has accumulated almost 5K users and nearly 200 users have played the Game of Bots. As a sales channel, it has been the second most behind the Chatbots Life publication.
