Diving into Ericsson’s IoT Platform — Calvin

Okay, so on Sunday I got to learn of Ericsson’s open-source release of Calvin —which according to the description on Github is “ an application environment that lets things talk to things”. I have to admit that my attention was drawn to this new entry into the open source IoT space, hence my dive into it. Of course, this is not the first open IoT platform — there’s been OpenIoT, Contiki, IoTSys, osiot…the list goes on. Coming from Ericsson, I definitely think this is worth a look.

So, heading to Github, I forked the project into my space (I was the 11th in line to do so, BTW) and taking time out to explore it.

I’ll be back with what I find :D
