Would you?
Would you love a person with scars? By scars I don’t mean the superficial ones; the ones that don’t leave a mark but rather an imprint on your heart and mind.
Would you love a person who likes pain? Because pain is all that they know; everyone in their life have made them believe that pain is love, that abandonment is natural, that the words “I love you” barely matters anymore.
Would you love a person who doesn’t feel anything anymore? Because feelings can choke them, and put them to a deep slumber while wide awake. Feelings are temporary, or that’s what they have been conditioned to believe.
Would you take a leap of faith with a person who doesn’t take efforts anymore? Because they landed in a ditch every time, they took a leap of faith in the past.
Would you?
Would you dare?
Would you dare to love a person emotionally scarred, without inflicting pain and trauma, and revive the innate warmth, that lies hidden under the cruel some burden of apathy?
