People forgive ¿

There’s one queer thing about forgiveness,

It doesn’t only deal with the art of forgiving.

Not many verily means what they say,

Or they just say to pave the way.

Knowing how to forgive, is one of life’s essential skills,

But also a melange of motives and avoiding perils.

Accepting an apology recuperates the wrong deed,

This act mirrors greed.

Refusing to forgive, we hold on to the bitterness and anger,

Like a boat held fast by its anchor.

It creates an irritable, impatient, and distracted being,

Yearning for the lost well-being.

Okay, not all dwell on what happened and reshash it regularly,

Unless it concerns them particularly.

If there was a litmus test for veristic forgiveness, Most would fail.

As forgiveness is all about us,

Everyone hiding this fact behind the veil.

That’s the queer thing about forgiveness,

It doesn’t only deal with the art of forgiving.
