I recently ran into a problem at work where I couldn’t access the company VPN on a non-Windows device, but I needed that VPN connection to access certain websites and download files I needed to develop on the non-Windows device.

After a few IT tickets and no answers, I looked around for a workaround and found that Windows can share it’s VPN connection over WiFi or Bluetooth with relatively little configuration.

This might help some of you who are in a similar situation where you want to share a VPN connection from your Windows device to other devices—and it might even be a viable way to get around the maximum device limit VPN providers usually have.

Enable Mobile Hotspot

Set your network’s username and password before enabling mobile hotspot.
