I can remember PLENTY of this from my history classes, ALONG with a geography class I took in college. With the SIZES Texas and California are, this would COVER a good portion of the WESTERN 1/2 of the U. S. (back in the 19th century). I think NEARLY since the Mexican-American War, Mexico and the U. S. have been some good friends.
