There are insults, pitiful and simplistic reactions. But “this is what happens when a woman has an opinion” narrative is kind of far fetched here. Maybe this is what happen when someone supposedly “not educated” give seemingly “uninformed” opinion online (i’m not stating my opinion just the context from the “haters” point of view). Just like soccer players in Europe or NFL players in US, who all have a reputation of being “uneducated” or “dumb”. Now these allegations of “simpleness” are probably not quite the reality either with soccer player or NFL players or models; or at least not necessarily true. The problem is that Ratajkowski is told to “shut up and look pretty”, not because she is a female, but because of what she does for a living similarly to when players are asked to “shut up and play”. I mean this is clearly what come out from the comments you’ve shown here. So i don’t know why you bring up the fact that she’s a female as the center of the “reaction” here. Would the reaction have been the same if Alicia Walker spoke her mind about politics ? Probably not. Nearly anybody who does have this stereotype-driven stamp of “un-education” would have been handed the same critics. Sexism exist, it’s a fact. But today, it just has nothing to do with it.
