Zenland is a decentralized escrow platform based on blockchain technology, which aims to provide a more secure and transparent trading environment for everyone. With Zenland, users can trade securely in an environment free from fraud and disputes. There is no need to provide personal information such as bank account or credit card information when making transactions; instead, users can use cryptocurrencies as a direct payment method through smart contracts.

Moreover, since all transactions are recorded on the blockchain technology, they will not be tampered with or altered even if there is a dispute between merchants. Users can also view all transaction details via explorer so that there are no disputes over goods or money at a later date.

Of course, every case is unique and people contract freelancers and part-time employees, buying and selling cars, collectibles, luxury goods, websites and domain names and much more. But let’s start with the symbolic apple case!

Lola devises a smart contract: Lola wants to bake apple pie and needs “fresh green” apples to buy. He wanted to make sure the apples he bought from Mark matched the description. The two of them agreed to the terms and Lola drafted the Zenland contract.

Mark agreed and Lola deposited the money : Mark logged into his Zenland account and agreed to Lola’s contract confirming the deal. Now, Lola submits a contract to the blockchain, transfers the money and locks it in the blockchain until the apple arrives.

Mark saw the money deposited and sent the apples : Mark checked the contract address and saw that Lola had deposited the negotiated amount into it. He delivered a “fresh green” apple to Lola and confirmed that she had completed the terms of the contract on her part.

Lola received the apple and took out the money : Lola received the apple, tasted its freshness, and, satisfied, released the money locked in the smart contract. Mark saw the money immediately added to his blockchain wallet and sent a “Thank you” note to Lola
