Assurance of God’s Love Part 1

Waking up late and skipping breakfast does not count when you are having a bad day.

Conflicts will always remain a part of human existence. And what matters isn’t about whether or not you have these confrontations over little things. What matters is your attitude in these explosive situations. Like what is the state of your heart at that time? Like do you implode or explode?

What matters is your attitude in these explosive situations.

Like do you let the grace of God enable you to exercise self-restraint? Like does love rule your heart? Like why exactly are you angry? Like are you willing to execute God’s judgment or vengeance? Do you wish to redeem or do you seek to destroy the offender?

Like are you willing to execute God’s judgment or vengeance?

It sounds rueful to dissect the heart condition in a crisis situation. Totally unbelievable to keep shut over the din of the crowd and turn your heart to God. But really, that is the point! You can not achieve a righteous state before God in such a situation without seeking help! It is by focusing on God that you get the perfect answer/solution in handling the situation before you.

It sounds rueful to dissect the heart condition in a crisis situation.

But perhaps, you fall short and give in to your emotions. Most likely, you will hurt and in turn hurt the other person. Now scarred you begin to wonder if there ever was a better way to handle the situation. There was or rather there is. What happened to you was a desire to quickly remedy a wrong done to you.

Now scarred you begin to wonder if there ever was a better way to handle the situation. There was or rather there is.

A wrong that you had no business fixing. A wrong that all you had to do to report the matter as will your thoughts to focus on the Almighty. And watch Him upgrade you to receive wisdom accompanied by peace and you could have redeemed the offender. Rather you chose to act in your hurt, forgetting the God who has called you to peace. A peace that only God can give in the face of storms.

A wrong that all you had to do to report the matter as will your thoughts to focus on the Almighty.

But I will tell you why conflict is a part of your process. This is simple: God loves and is in love with you. He is zealous to see that you become just like Him; holy, wise, and lovely. And so He permits these conflicts so that it can reveal your character flaws. Those rotten parts of you that make you wonder how and why God chooses to work with you.

This is simple: God loves and is in love with you.

It is His love that makes you understand the sufficiency of His Grace. And because He jealously watches over you, He is going to remove every support system about you. The idea is not to hurt you, rather the idea is to cause you to seek Him. It is by seeking Him that you draw the strength you need to become stronger and better.

It is His love that makes you understand the sufficiency of His Grace.

God will do all these in the execution of a divine plan. This ultimate plan is a two-fold cord that cannot be separated. The first aim of this plan is to present you to the world, a Christ. A perfect man who reflects Him, a Jesus who is the express image of the Father. A Christ that is unstained, unscathed, by the world’s ways.

It is His love that makes you understand the sufficiency of His Grace.

The second and most cherished aim of this plan is implies spending quality time with your lover. God desires to spend eternity with you at all costs. But He cannot have you by His side if do not understand God’s systems. As a result, you must learn and unlearn the world’s ways and learn and relearn God’s ways. This speaks of Abba’s love for His frail, weak children.

The second and most cherished aim of this plan is implies spending quality time with your lover.

Now to strike a balance, living in peace does not mean complacence in the face of unrighteousness. Rather God intends that you execute righteousness and justice wearing His emotions. He intends to redeem the world through you; a person at a time. God can only achieve this if you align your will to His will so much so that His heartbeat becomes your heartbeat. Making both of you to become one; a Christ.

Now to strike a balance, living in peace does not mean complacence in the face of unrighteousness.

Conclusion

The pain of misunderstanding and the trauma of your experience should draw you into God, and not out of Him. God understands every hurt yet He desires that you heal and prosper in your soul. And you prosper when you let the love of Christ constrain you from acting out in hurt or anger. This enables you to become more like God, being assured daily of God’s love. And now that you know, in every explosive situation, seek to redeem not to retaliate.
