FREEDOM

The day is here
The day has come
A day of joy
A day of freedom
Ghana!!!
A land of freedom
Freedom attained through the blood and toil of our fathers
The cause of our joy
The reason we rejoice
Ghana, the land of freedom

But amidst the joy and happiness of this day
I still hear the cry of our departed fathers singing
Arise people of Ghana
For your country
The nation demands
Your devotion

Both young and old
Arise!

Both men and women
Arise!

Both great and small
Arise!

Ghana needs us to stand free
Not only from external control
But also from internal challenges

When this is done
We can then stand proud
Beat our chests
And behold our nation's flag saying...

At long last
The battle has ended
And thus,
Ghana
Our beloved country
Is free forever!!!

Hip! Hip!! Hip!!!
Hurrah!!!
