• Media Lit post #1- We live in a world where position is the key of survival, when Betty shot and killed Terence Crutcher, Betty survived because he’s positioned with a badge and a gun. Crutcher does not have that badge or gun, but he had life he had a family, he had his whole life in front of him just like millions of others through generations. The police officer that has a family too, a whole life ahead of her too, and still gets to keep all that. Was able to take a gun and shoot and kill because of the position that officer has in this world. I don’t care how many years someone goes to school to achieve a license to become a positioned person to curry a gun around & ability to shoot and kill any person out on the street without any penalty. This is out of control , psychological factors play a BIG part in society I think, people and their intentionality and mind sets, their thought processes should all be evaluated for an extended time, before someone gets a license to curry a highly positioned authority, they are the ones that should be sat down and evaluated on their thought process before a gun and badge is given to them. So what if they accomplished how many years of a police academy. Why does any man or women that can have back up in less than 15 minutes, that has all the control to place someone in jail feel the need to “defend themselves ? People understand authority out on the street, but do some police understand not to shoot? Does this criminal Justice system really serve justice? Because I see drug dealers being brought in for psychological questioning to put them away for years but no police officers being apprehended and taken in for questioning about a unarmed citizen shot to death left to choke on their own blood and die on the cement. I see positions, and only one side surviving.
