Salmon with Nectarine Bourbon Sauce

On days when I don’t grill in the summer (which is rare) I like to make simple light suppers. This idea came to mind this afternoon, A little bit of heat, a little bit of sweet. The perfect sauce to compliment salmon.
5 pieces of salmon
1 small onion diced tiny
2 nectarines chopped small
2 Tbsp oil
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
1 shot bourbon
Salt and pepper
Sauté onion in oil and add nectarine pieces. sauté until it starts to get fragrant. Add BBQ sauce and then bourbon and some salt and pepper. Let cook through for a couple of minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from stove.
Place salmon on a cookie sheet and brush the salmon with sauce bake on 400 for 10 minutes.
Remove salmon. Pour rest of sauce over it. Bake another 10 minutes. Serve warm or room temp.
