Something about my favorite quote
Hey guys! Long time no see💖
So we recently had the last book club session and each group presented a quote from their book. So from all the proposed quotes I remember the only one quote from the book “Tender is the Night” by F. Scott Fitzgerald:
“One writes of scars healed, a loose parallel to the pathology of the skin, but there is no such thing in the life of an individual. There are open wounds, shrunk sometimes to the size of a pin-prick but wounds still. The marks of suffering are more comparable to the loss of a finger, or of the sight of an eye”.
People always discuss the differences of mental and physical wounds. You know, I agree with this quote because mental anguish is always more painful than physical pain. Physical pain goes away, of course there can always be some reminders of this pain, for example scars, bruises, and much more. But you get used to living with it and forget about it, and you will think: “It was and went away”.
You can also live with mental anguish, but you will always feel this pain. These wounds will turn into scars that will always remind you of something. Everyone says:“Time heals“. In fact, I think that time does not heal, the pain just diminishes with time, but it still exists and some things you felt like yesterday and felt again, like then. But any pain is an experience. The experience, thanks to which you again will not allow a similar situation, the experience that someday you can tell someone. Yes, it is a pain, but it is still the experience that you have experienced and proved to yourself that you are a strong person, that you can overcome any situation, you are good. So just try not to remember it. It was in the past, and you live now and you should think about the present and your future. Everything will be fine, just believe me😌
But I just want to tell you: „Please, never compare mental anguish and physical pain. They are completely different. It’s the same thing if you compare Mercedes-Benz and Lada Kalina. Just enjoy every day, every minute and be happy 😃”
