Thanks for the post - many valid points.

However I don't find it wrong that Finnish companies tend to hire Finns. I mean, if you're Finnish company in process of hiring and there are 2 comparable candidates, one being foreigner, why wouldn't you hire Finn?

I think, in most of the cases it boils down to language. Not too many companies in Finland are ready to have international culture and English as official language. Candidate with Finnish name will guaranteed to be fluent in Finnish (easy to communicate with), that's why "Juhani" will get a call and Rajib probably won't.
