If there is a town in Lithuania where colors begin to blossom most beautifully, it would be Trakai.

Just a 30 min. train ride brings you to one of the most historical places in the country. If you get lucky with the weather and it becomes sunny, the Trakai Island castle shines in the sunlight. No high force winds makes up for a wonderful time on the bridge and toping it off with Lithuanian cuisine is the only correct way to end it.

This was, once again, my initiative.

After planning the trip itself, my friends and I took the train to Trakai where we explored the town and visited the historical castle, tried some traditional Lithuanian food and spent the weekend outside before a heavy week in school.

Most significant learning outcomes — LO3, LO5: my planning skills worked magical once again. My friends said they were impressed, but I cannot take all of the credit because we also worked together to navigate through the place.

Overall, this was a lovely trip spent culturally and healthily. We recommend visiting this town to every Lithuanian.

We will definitely come back to try those cepelinai and you should too!
