I’m an Arsenal fan but I really enjoyed reading this.

Unfortunately the xenophobic and misogynistic views of some have papered over what is a truly awful story. I have no worry that the CEO is a woman, my worry is she has proven to be incompetent in the role. Probably in the World of electronics or the law, she is brilliant, unfortunately football is a different prospect. The owner is a “visionary” but only in his own eyes, he failed at Liege, to which he blamed the fans, he will fail here, for which I suppose the same excuse. My worries started when just the cosmetic things were dealt with, which did include the pitch. All the “improvements” were things that could be recouped when selling on, nothing for the team or coaching staff. This blog does spell it out very well, why a diehard fan for 50yrs will not be spending well earned money on a season ticket to watch dross week in week out. As to getting 20,000 “customers” a week to watch the kids in the shop window, a deluded vision from the visionary.
