It’s funny how anyone can fall into the trap of being certain about everything, even if they appear not to be. Whatever stance you have on an issue, being 100% certain about politics, religion, etc. closes off conversation and real progress. Not a good way to live (I’ve been there).

For me, Socrates advice comes down to finding the medium between the spectrum of personality and ideology. Socrates approach boils down to asking 2:1 questions before making statements. Seek the truth more than you proclaim it.
