The Secret Answer To The Riddle Of The Virtual Age?

So I have a riddle for you. It’s white but not bread. It’s light but not a light. Pun intended. You stare at it but it’s not a hot girl… You put it in your pocket but it’s not money. Yeah … and more you put it to your mouth but it’s not food. What is it? Well you will never guess it it’s so hard only few bright minds have managed to do that. Well I’ll give you a hint. You are most likely holding it in your hands right now and is running out of battery as we speak. So yes it’s your phone. It’s the thing you never go out without. Well here is a funny story about this piece of your life. I was going to a flight so I checked in online and saved my mobile board. However in this particular case this spectacular airline decided to send you a email to get your pass. This company shell remain nameless. So here is the deal, normally you get your pass and it’s magically integrated with some native app depending on your de-vice yes it is the vice. But these people desired to make your life more miserable. You suppose to take a snap of your phone screen and keep it as a pass. So here you go. I took that screen shot and was all happy and ready. So I go through the security line with my screen shot. Well since the screen shot looks exactly like the phone interface I was assuming this is a life image of my phone. You know it’s showing the carrier sign and battery level etc. Here is the funny thing.

When I took the screen the battery level was showing at red. So when I was looking at my pass and ass-summing it’s my life phone image I started to worry. I plugged the phone in my external battery, but of course the red battery level remained “ding dong it was the image with the red battery level.” Well my anxiety went through the roof. I was plugging and unplugging the phone from the charger but the phone was still not charging. So I completely freaked out. How I suppose to do the boarding with this phone as it was about to die and out of battery? And then I woke up. Yes in my pjs figuratively speaking. It downed on me. I was so hypnotized by that white screen that I couldn’t recognize a still image from the dynamic screen of the phone. See my phone was perfectly ok and charged but I was looking at an illusion. So what is the difference it’s almost none existent. Everything looked the same. The devil is in the details. So next time when you look at your friend or relative how do you know it’s the real deal? Well there is only one way.

Wake up from the deep hypnotic sleep caused by your phone and look at them really well. And look again and again hold your gaze and let them see you and not some artificial pose you’ve learned. So you will be able to function and live and know you are real. The virtual world is coming really fast at us. We will need to recognize at some point what things are living and real. What things are just an AI and is AI a living organism? I’m not talking here about the wars of the machines and humans. The war is on right now. The war of attention. Keep your priorities right and attention on the living things!
