The Marvelous Wooden Railroad
Jason Byrne

My Dad was stationed in Avon Park area in 1985. He once told me a story about a civilian contractor who said he came upon a train that had its tracks pulled up on both sides hidden in a cypress canopy. He said it was in good enough shape he rang the bell. But then was unable to find it again. It was in a bombing range. The guy worked there 15 years and only saw it once and never could find it again.
