GRAFTING A COMMITMENT TO YOUR WINE EXPERIENCE

In our opinion, the mark of a successful business grows out of its relationship with people. And for us, while these people are our clients or customers, we love it when they become our friends and family.
During our years as managers for a collection of urban wineries, we discovered that as a startup in an isolated location with limited resources, our most valuable asset was our people. It became extremely empowering to learn that despite having little money, our clientele was the main thing we could grow simply by crafting a narrative which encapsulated the world of urban wine tasting.
What we learned was that people responded to our all-inclusive approach to wine tasting in an urban setting and showed support by returning with their friends to tell the stories we sat down and relayed to them. More than that, we found that people returned because they received one-on-one attention and genuine care for their wine interests and queries that they couldn’t find elsewhere.
This kind of organic growth, based on the communal sharing of much needed-to-be-told narratives about vineyards that have little, to no, representation, spoke to something much larger for us — that our guests truly needed a space in which they could voice their opinions and questions about wine in an open and creative way.
Our response to this need stemmed out of our passion to help contribute to the crafting of the urban wine experience which is actually quite different from the wine country experience. In our opinion, an urban wine experience setting offers guests the open invitation to get together to connect with others; it is not about being exclusive; it is about being inclusive and familial.
Every wine activity that Vine Graft offers is designed to help guests come together to explore wine playfully and communally. These activities put wine exploration directly into the hands of our guests, making them interactive and highly eclectic. At the end of the day, your palate is something you want to feel like you can both own and openly explore, and our activities help you get more in tune with that part of yourself while enabling you to learn about, and help, others with theirs.
Given that Vine Graft’s foundation is built upon the grafting of specific wine interests with needs to create a tailored experience, our personal goal is to work directly with our guests, guiding them to select the most exciting wine activities to suit their needs, while exposing them to lesser-known local and urban wineries. No matter the goal, be it building team connectivity or for personal enjoyment, we’ll guide you towards the experience and wine that you feel will best fit the occasion, helping you to develop friends out of co-workers and family out of friends.
In the way that one vine is particularly grafted onto another in order to create something stronger and more integrated, the activities we offer at Vine Graft promise to bring guests together in a similar way, bridging and building connections while strengthening personal palates.
Cheers,
